Primer

Mas Maya Primer is an adhesion-promoting primer made from a vinyl-acrylic copolymer in an aqueous base. It is specifically designed for use before applying Mas Maya Coating, ensuring a strong bond between the surface and the coating for optimal performance and durability.

A 1-litre bottle provides coverage of approximately 10m², while the 5-litre provides total coverage of approximately 50m².

Applications

Mas Maya Primer is essential for ensuring the proper adhesion of Mas Maya Coating to various substrates. It can be used on:

It is also suitable for preparing surfaces such as vertical walls, floors, and ceilings, making it a versatile solution for both interior and exterior applications.

Usage Instructions

  1. Preparation:

    • Ensure the surface is dry, sound, compact, clean, and free from dust, dirt, surface laitance, loose particles, and release agents.
    • The product is ready to use but should be homogenized before application.

  2. Application:

    • Apply preferably with a brush.
    • For vertical walls and floors, allow 2 to 4 hours for the primer to set before applying Mas Maya Coating. For ceilings, allow 24 hours.
    • If necessary, the mortar or gypsum can be applied after a minimum of 30 minutes, depending on the surface and ambient conditions.

Storage and Safety

  • Storage: Store between 5 and 35°C in original, tightly sealed containers. Protect from extreme cold and heat. Under these conditions, the product maintains its properties for approximately 12 months.
  • Safety: Non-toxic, non-hazardous, and non-flammable under normal handling conditions. No special safety measures are required beyond standard occupational health regulations.
